The relationship of demographic and disease variables on schneiderian membrane thickness and appearance

Yildirim TT, et al. - A retrospective study was conducted to assess the prevalence of sinus mucosal thickness (MT) and mucosal appearance (MA) in a patient population as detected with cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and to determine the relationships of various disease and demographic factors on MT and MA. The findings from the present study suggested that periodontal bone loss, periapical lesions, and gender might have an affiliation with mucosal thickening of the maxillary sinus.
