The relationship between sleep disorders and lower urinary tract symptoms: Results from the National Health And Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)
The Journal of Urology Feb 16, 2018
Fantus RJ, et al. - The association between sleep disorders (SDs) and the risk of daytime and nighttime lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) was assessed in this trial. SDs were shown to be related to the increased risk of nocturia and daytime LUTS, independent of BMI, diabetes, and increased number of co-morbidities. Evaluating LUTS in men with SDs should be considered by clinicians because intervention could improve both nighttime and daytime urinary symptoms.
