The relationship between renal artery involvement in Stanford B-type aortic dissection and the short-term prognosis: A single-centre retrospective cohort study
Heart, Lung, and Circulation Jul 28, 2018
Li A, et al. - Researchers investigated the prognostic value of renal artery involvement in Stanford B-type aortic dissection patients. They retrospectively examined a total of 221 patients with acute Stanford-B type aortic dissection, grouped as those with or without renal artery involvement based on aortic computed tomography angiography (CTA) results. They also compared the clinical data of the two groups and carried out univariate analyses and multiple logistic regression analyses to determine risk factors related to in-hospital mortality. They found no association between renal artery involvement and short-term renal function damage but renal artery involvement was identified as a risk factor for in-hospital mortality after acute Stanford B-type aortic dissection.
