The relationship between hematological parameters and prognosis of children with acute ischemic stroke
Child's Nervous System Dec 08, 2017
Yilmaz E, et al. - In this study the relationship between hematologic parameters and prognosis of acute ischemic stroke in children was examined. In relation to the control group, the white blood count (WBC), neutrophil count, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte (N/L) ratio differed significantly. In children with acute ischemic stroke, the WBC and N/L ratio facilitated an earlier diagnosis. The WBC count, thrombocyte count, mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW), and N/L ratio did not constitute a risk in overall survival, disease-free survival, and sequelae development.
