The relationship between cognitions and symptoms in obsessive-compulsive disorder

Tibi L, et al. – The aim of the present study was to explore the association between cognitions and symptoms in obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD). Prospective relationships between cognitions and symptoms subtypes showed both unidirectional and bidirectional associations. Results only partially concord with the predictions of the cognitive theory of OCD. However, mechanisms alternative to cognitive biases in OCD should be further examined.
