Fournie C, et al. - A single-center prospective study examined the link between body composition and bone density and microarchitecture assessed with high-resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography (HR-pQCT) in chronic peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. Findings were indicative of a negative association of fat mass (FM) with bone quality in PD patients. These findings supported an association between body composition and bone; this link was independent of other dialysis-associated complications.
