The relation of somatotypes and stress response to central serous chorioretinopathy
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology Sep 09, 2017
Schwartz R, et al. - Analysts research a possible connection between central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) and specific body types and compositions (somatotypes), and aim to investigate the cortisol stress response among CSC patients of different somatotypes in comparison with healthy subjects. This study did not exhibit a typical somatotype related to CSC. While previous studies displayed higher cortisol values in CSC patients, they did not see a higher elevation in blood cortisol following a stress response in this group in comparison with healthy subjects.
