The quick sequential organ failure assessment (qSOFA) identifies septic patients in the out-of-hospital setting

Barbara P, et al. - Researchers here sought to ascertain if emergency medical services (EMS) patients who met all three quick sequential organ failure assessment (qSOFA) criteria correlated with an Emergency Department (ED) identification of sepsis. On disposition to the ED, EMS patients with positive qSOFA screens were more inclined to be septic.
