The prognostic value of TPM1–4 in hepatocellular carcinoma
Cancer Medicine Dec 04, 2021
Tian Z, Zhao J, Wang Y, et al. - Prognostic values of tropomyosins (TPMs) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were investigated and it was found that TPM1–4 could have an important role in HCC development.
From UCSC XENA, original TPM1–4 mRNA expression of TCGA HCC data and GTEx was downloaded, and for verification, Oncomine database and GSE46408 were utilized.
In HCC, the expression level of TPM1–4 was all remarkably elevated.
High TPM3 expression was identified to be correlated with poor overall survival.
The high-risk group exhibited significantly higher TPM3 expression vs the low-risk group.
TPM3 could serve as an independent prognostic factor for HCC.
TPM1–4 was found to be related to some tumor-infiltrating immune cells in HCC.
