The prognostic relevance of lymph node ratio in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma treated with neoadjuvant therapy regimen and radical surgery
Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery Jun 11, 2018
Rempel V, et al. - Researchers gauged the prognostic significance of lymph node ratio (LNR) in patients with oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC), treated with neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy followed by radical surgery. They included 171 treatment-naive patients with biopsy-proven primary OSCC and reviewed them retrospectively. According to multivariate analysis, an independent significant impact on overall survival was seen with patient age, ypT, margin status and LNR. LNR could be a valuable predictor for OS in these patients.
