Shirakabe A, et al. – This study was meant to assess the prognostic significance of nutritional status in acute heart failure (AHF). Findings revealed that in patients with severely decompensated AHF, malnutrition, as assessed using both the Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI) and the Controlling Nutritional Status (CONUT) score, had a prognostic influence.
