Wang Y, et al. - Herein, researchers investigated if antiplatelet therapy could attenuate the incidence of newly developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and its associated mortality in high-risk patients. No significant reduction in hospital mortality was noted following receipt of antiplatelet therapy in high-risk patients. However, it could not be clarified if antiplatelet therapy is associated with a decreased incidence of ARDS in patients at a high risk of developing the condition.
