Galazky I, et al. – In this observational study of 97 study participants with Parkinson’s disease and 97 control participants, experts sought to quantify low back pain (LBP) and its morphological correlation. Researchers found LBP and lumbar degeneration to be common in individuals with PD and noted the relation of both with movement disorder symptoms. In PD, knowledge about musculoskeletal conditions is essential for an interdisciplinary conservative or operative treatment decision of LBP.
