Sakamoto Y, et al. – The researchers conducted this study in patients with acute ischemic stroke, to elucidate the prevalence of and related factors for the T1–hyperintense vessel sign (T1–HVS). They observed T1–HVS in 4.5% of acute ischemic stroke patients. In the subacute phase, T1–HVSs appeared in arteries with persistent occlusion and remained for a few months.
