The predictive value of lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio in the prognosis of acute coronary syndrome patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis
BMC Cardiovascular Disorders Jul 22, 2020
Quan XQ, Wang RC, Zhang Q, et al. - Researchers examined the link between lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) and death or major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in patients experiencing acute coronary syndrome (ACS), via a systematic review and meta-analysis. They explored PubMed, MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Web of science to identify the relevant studies. The meta-analysis involved 5 studies with 4,343 patients. As per findings, there might be a correlation of lower LMR value with higher short-term as well as long-term mortality/MACE in ACS patients. A more close correlation of low LMR with poor prognosis was reported particularly for younger ACS patients.
