Berendes T, et al. - Long-term outcomes of the ‘open’-modified Bankart procedure were assessed in this retrospective cohort study. This procedure afforded good long-term results, 16–26 years after surgery, and was considered reliable. However, radiological osteoarthritis (mainly mild) detected in a high number of patients showed the inability of this procedure to prevent the development of shoulder osteoarthritis.
