Ong T, et al. - Data from 90 participants were examined in order to describe features and outcomes of individuals with vertebral fractures admitted to the hospital to verify and create for the development of specialist input for this group. Individuals hospitalized with vertebral fragility fractures were old, multimorbid, frail and are susceptive to tenacious pain and disability. Moreover, their treatment in hospitals requires to acknowledge this alongside their acute fracture. Thus, a systematic organized model of care, like an adaptation of orthogeriatric hip fracture care, would give a more holistic way of probably enhancing their outcomes.
