Vuontisjärvi S, et al. - Researchers performed a population-based cohort study to investigate if a history of endometriosis is associated with altered pain sensation and musculoskeletal pain symptoms at age 46. In women with endometriosis, decreased pain threshold and maximal pain tolerance were evident up till late fertile age of 46 years. They also noticed the pain to be more bothersome and intense compared with controls.
