The long-term effects of the health coaching self-management program for nursing-home residents
Clinical Interventions in Aging Aug 26, 2017
Park YH, et al. – This study was performed in older nursing-home residents (NHR), including those with cognitive impairment to assess the changes in self–efficacy and goal attainment scaling (GAS) and their health status and quality of life (QoL) following the health–coaching self–management program for NHR (HCSMP–NHR) intervention. In these subjects, as a consequence of the HCSMP–NHR intervention, an improvement in self–efficacy and GAS was noted, along with enhanced health status and QoL of NHR with chronic conditions with mild–to–moderate cognitive impairment. Moreover, these effects were successfully maintained over the 5 months of the trial.
