Jalanka J, et al. - The long-term effect of faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) treatment was investigated in patients with recurrent C. difficile infection. Furthermore, the authors aimed to compare the outcome to antibiotic-treated patients. For patients with recurrent C. difficile infection, FMT was found to be a durable, safe and acceptable treatment option also in long-term. In addition, it indicated potential benefits over antimicrobial treatment.
