Caricasulo R, et al. - Researchers established whether implant connection configuration influences peri-implant bone loss (PBL) after functional loading. Findings suggested a better maintenance of crestal bone levels in the short-medium term when internal kinds of interface are adopted. A greater advantage of the conical connections was seen, showing the lower peri-implant bone loss. Seemingly platform-switching (PS) positively affected bone levels, non-regarding the implant-connection it was applied to.
