Radojicic Z, et al. - Researchers gauged the impacts of bowel management on the frequency of urinary infections in spina bifida patients. Participants were treated with anticholinergic medication therapy and clean intermittent catheterization, with and without bowel management. Findings suggested a considerable decrease in the frequency of urinary infections by administering bowel management, and it should be an integral part of treatment for spina bifida patients. These two groups demonstrated a statistical difference regarding urinary infections.
