The impact of tumor differentiation on the prognosis of HBV-associated solitary hepatocellular carcinoma following hepatectomy: A propensity score matching analysis
Digestive Diseases and Sciences May 15, 2018
Shen J, et al. - Using propensity score matching analysis, the researchers intended to describe the impact of tumor differentiation on solitary hepatitis B viral (HBV)-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The data of 721 HCC patients in West China Hospital were prospectively collected and analyzed between January 2009 and March 2015. This study provided robust evidence that a negative impact on the recurrence and long-term survival of solitary HBV-associated HCCs after curative hepatectomy was the result a poorly differentiated tumor. They suggested that antiviral therapy could improve prognosis.
