Erlandson KM, et al. - Researchers here sought to assess the impact of statin and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI)/angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) therapy on cognitive function in adults with human immunodeficiency virus infection. Despite the presence of modest declines in neurocognitive performance in single domains with statin or ACEI/ARB therapy, there did not appear consistent evidence that statins or ACEI/ARB have an effect on global neurocognitive function.
