Feldhaus T, et al. - Experts aspired to examine possible relationships between medication adherence attitude and the extent of self-stigmatization, while also exploring factors related to self-stigmatization. Self-stigmatization was found to be an influential factor on medication attitude. Therefore, it ought to be considered in clinical practice. Special emphasis needed to be taken on depressive symptoms and reduced wellbeing to lower the extent of self-stigmatization, particularly in male patients.
