The impact of moderate wine consumption on the risk of developing prostate cancer

Vartolomei MD, et al. - Researchers aimed to ascertain the impact of moderate wine consumption on the risk of prostate cancer (PCa). They focused on the differential effect of moderate consumption of red vs white wine. This meta-analysis showed no impact of moderate wine consumption on the risk of PCa. Interestingly, the multivariable analysis revealed that regarding the type of wine, moderate white wine consumption increased the risk of PCa, while, moderate red wine consumption had a protective role in reducing the risk.
