The impact of lesion complexity on no-reflow phenomenon and predictors of reversibility in patients treated with primary percutaneous intervention

Coronary Artery Disease Oct 31, 2020

Durmaz E, Karadag B, Ikitimur B, et al. - In this study with 424 patients managed with primary percutaneous intervention, researchers determined the effect of culprit lesion complexity on no-reflow phenomenon as well as explored the factors associated with reversibility of no-reflow. This study involved 90 patients with a diagnosis of no-reflow (group 1) and patients without no-reflow (group 2). Findings showed an independent association between culprit lesion complexity and no-reflow phenomenon. Short ischaemic duration was found to be significantly related to reversibility of no-reflow.
