Zhou J, et al. – The scientists explored the prognostic impact of the number of examined lymph nodes (ELNs) in different histological subtypes of cervical cancer. They considered the number of ELNs an independent prognostic factor in patients with stage IA2ÂIIB cervical cancer. A higher number of ELNs was associated with better survival outcomes, especially in the node–positive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) subtype.
