Journal of Endodontics Aug 08, 2018
Aminoshariae A, et al. - Experts conducted a systematic review to ascertain if endodontic infections had an impact on the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease (CVD). They searched the MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, and PubMed databases. Findings suggested a probable substantial difference of the true effect from the estimate of the effect. They noted that the level of evidence is low whether the presence of a lesion of endodontic origin may or may not have some impact on cardiovascular disease, and hence the confidence of the experts in the assessment is low.
