Wang Q, et al. - The researchers sought to evaluate the impact of body mass index (BMI) on quantitative 24-h urine chemistries in stone forming patients. They also assessed how overweight and obesity contributed to urolithiasis. It was determined that subjects with BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 erected more promotions but not inhibitors of urolithiasis when compared to those with BMI < 25 kg/m2. This, in turn, increased the risk of urolithiasis in overweight and obesity individuals.
