Sershon RA, et al. - Authors determined the outcomes of an acute traumatic wound dehiscence after arthroplasty treated with an urgent irrigation and debridement and primary wound closure. High rates of reoperation for instability, periprosthetic infection and clinical failure were seen in patients experiencing an acute traumatic wound dehiscence after knee arthroplasty despite emergent I&D and wound closure.
