The immunohistochemical expression and potential prognostic value of HDAC6, AR in invasive breast cancer
Human Pathology Dec 01, 2017
Li C, et al. - The authors attempted to contemplate the expression of HDAC6 and androgen receptor (AR). Furthermore, they investigated the association between histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) and AR and evaluated the prognostic value of HDAC6 and AR in breast cancer. A worse clinical prognosis was displayed via higher expression of AR and HDAC6 and HDAC6/AR co-expression. The expression levels of HDAC6 and AR appeared to be correlated in the case of breast cancer. It was also noted that HDAC6 and AR depicted prognostic value in speculating the overall survival (OS) of estrogen receptor (ER)-negative breast cancer patients.
