The Fatigue Assessment Scale as a simple and reliable tool in systemic lupus erythematosus: A cross-sectional study
Arthritis Research & Therapy Mar 29, 2019
Horisberger A, et al. - In this cross-sectional single-center study, 73 cases were analyzed to examine the influence of disease activity on fatigue in subjects with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and also to validate the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS). They observed similar demographics in primary Sjogren’s syndrome (pSS) and healthy volunteers (HV). FAS demonstrated good internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.93), unidimensionality, and test-retest reliability (ICC = 0.90) within the SLE group. They found the highest value of total FAS in active SLE as well as pSS and higher in non-active SLE vs HV.
