Eroglu FO, et al. - Researchers evaluated the psychiatric comorbidity and levels of self-injurious behavior, suicide probability, life satisfaction, self-esteem and loneliness in adolescents with acne and compared them with a control group. In acne treatment plans, psychiatric evaluation should be included as experts noted the presence of high levels of psychiatric comorbidity, suicide probability, and self-injurious behavior in adolescents with acne. It is important to conduct a psychological assessment of adolescents with acne vulgaris for the detection of any potential covert sexual abuse. A multidisciplinary approach for acne treatment was demonstrated in the findings.
