The efficacy of antipyretic analgesics administration intravenously for preventing rocuronium-associated pain/withdrawal response: A systematic review and meta-analysis
BMC Anesthesiology Apr 24, 2020
Wang J, Cui Y, Liu B, et al. - Researchers analyzed 9 relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with 819 patients, to systematically assess the benefits of antipyretic analgesics (AAs) on rocuronium-associated injection pain/withdrawal response (RAIPWR) among patients. The included studies were identified from PubMed, Cochrane Library, Ovid, EMbase, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wan Fang Data, explored by January 1, 2019. The included RCTs used AAs to alleviate RAIPWR in patients who had an elective surgery under general anesthesia. Findings revealed that RAIPWR could be alleviated by pretreating with AAs intravenously.
