The efficacy and safety of menatetrenone in the management of osteoporosis: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Su S, et al. - Researchers estimated 8882 subjects to analyze the effectiveness and safety of menatetrenone in the management of osteoporosis. They found menatetrenone more efficacious as compared to placebo in enhancing the lumbar bone mineral density (BMD) and declining the undercarboxylated osteocalcin to osteocalcin (ucOC/OC) ratio. They also noted a reduced risk of vertebral fracture with menatetrenone use. Along with, they also observed a higher incidence of adverse events (AEs) and adverse drug reactions.
