The efficacy and safety of dutasteride compared with finasteride in treating men with androgenetic alopecia: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Clinical Interventions in Aging Feb 28, 2019
Zhou Z, et al. - By performing a meta-analysis, researchers examined dutasteride and finasteride for their effectiveness and safety in treating men with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) during a 24-week treatment cycle. For this analysis, they selected three articles including 576 participants which compared dutasteride with finasteride. In treating AGA, outcomes suggest that compared to finasteride, dutasteride seems more efficacious with comparable rates of adverse reactions, particularly sexual dysfunction.
