Li D, Cai Z, Pan Z, et al. - Through this meta-analysis, it was inquired how glycemic control, inflammation and oxidative stress in females with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) could be influenced by vitamin and mineral supplementation. PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library were explored up to July, 2020 to identify relevant randomized controlled trials. A meta-analysis with 698 patients from 12 trials was conducted. Findings revealed that vitamin and mineral supplementation in women with GDM not only resulted in significant improvements in glycemic control but also conferred attenuations in inflammation and oxidative stress.
