Ugur MG, et al. - Researchers sought to determine the impact of smoking on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and inflammation markers. They found that among study participants including smokers and non-smokers, smokers exhibited high levels of IL-6 inflammatory marker and VEGF and low IL-10 anti-inflammatory marker.
