Borror A, et al. - This study entailed consolidating the literature surrounding the impacts of postprandial exercise on glucose regulation in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Evidence suggested possible efficacy of postprandial exercise in improving glucose control in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Long-duration (≥ 45 min), moderate-intensity aerobic exercise afforded the most consistent benefits, while resistance training also appeared to be an effective modality. Focusing on increasing energy expenditure after the largest meal of the day was recommended for individuals with type 2 diabetes.
