Clinical Physiology and Functional Imaging Sep 20, 2017
Gordon D, et al. - The impact of menstrual cycle phase on maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and associated cardiodynamic responses are investigated in this study. Information recommend that the VO2-plateau is affected by monophasic oral contraceptive pill, furthermore this information implies that VO2max test outcome is independent of menstrual cycle phase but caution ought to be applied when assessing maximal oxygen uptake in females who are administered a monophasic oral contraceptive pill.
