The effects of intranasal dexmedetomidine premedication in children: A systematic review and meta-analysis

JunK JH, et al. – Effects of intranasal dexmedetomidine premedication in children were investigated via a meta–analysis. Findings reported that in comparison to other premedication treatments, intranasal dexmedetomidine offered more satisfactory sedation at parent separation and attenuated the requirement for rescue analgesics and the incidence of nasal irritation and postoperative nausea and vomiting.
