Fletcher SA, et al. - The effect of treatment on overall survival and receipt of definitive treatment for bladder cancer at a minority-serving hospital was determined. No difference was noted in overall survival or receipt of definitive treatment between the minority-serving and non-minority-serving hospitals. Black patients, regardless of the type of hospital where they were treated, had worse survival and were less likely to receive definitive treatment for bladder cancer.
