The effect of smoking on thirty-day postoperative complications after total joint arthroplasty: A propensity score matched analysis

Sahota S, et al. – This study was undertaken to assess the independent impact of smoking on the risk of short–term complication following total joint arthroplasty (TJA). Findings demonstrated an association of smoking with higher rates of SSI, surgical complications, and readmission in patients who underwent TJA.
