Findings suggest Smoking as a modifiable risk factor with a detrimental impact on outcomes in patients undergoing ventral hernia repair. Authors suggest delaying VHR and promoting smoking cessation prior to surgery as helpful for reducing the odds of adverse 30-day post-operative outcomes.
