The effect of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) without hyperandrogenism on pregnancy‐related outcomes: A retrospective cohort study
BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Oct 09, 2020
Hu S, Xu B, Long R, et al. - Researchers conducted this retrospective cohort study to assess the impact of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) without hyperandrogenism on pregnancy‐related outcomes. This investigation was carried out at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Tongji Hospital. According to the Rotterdam criteria, patients without hyperandrogenism undergoing their first single blastocyst transfers in frozen‐thawed cycles were divided into the PCOS group and the non‐PCOS group. In total, 4,083 patients without hyperandrogenism met the study criteria, among whom 557 patients met the diagnostic criteria for PCOS. Higher rates of clinical pregnancy and cumulative live birth than those without PCOS can be obtained by PCOS patients without hyperandrogenism without raising their rates of biochemical pregnancy, loss of pregnancy or other abnormal perinatal outcomes.
