Na SJ, et al. - Researchers sought to determine the effect of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) team on the outcomes of patients with severe acute respiratory failure. As a result of implementing a multidisciplinary ECMO team, significant improvement was noted in the survival rate in patients treated with ECMO for severe acute respiratory failure.
