Kwiatkowski P, et al. - This study was performed to examine the effect of fennel essential oil in combination with antibiotics on Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from carriers. The researchers demonstrated that in the eradication of S. aureus with iMLS_B, cMLS_B, MS_B resistant phenotypes, the fennel essential oil in combination with mupirocin could be considered as a natural alternative and was able to decrease the growth rate of antibiotic resistance.
