The effect of CBT and its modifications for relapse prevention in major depressive disorder: A systematic review and meta-analysis
BMC Psychiatry | Mar 02, 2018
Zhang Z, et al. - This review was planned to evaluate the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and its modifications for relapse prevention in major depressive disorder (MDD). Findings suggested that a reduction in the risk of relapse could be achieved with the use of CBT for MDD patients in remission. Besides, the number of prior episodes moderated the effect of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). MBCT could only be effective for MDD patients with 3 or more previous episodes.
