The effect of botulinum toxin-augmentation on strabismus surgery for large-angle, infantile esotropia

Wan MJ, et al. - The experts assessed in this case series if the effect of strabismus surgery in pediatric patients with large-angle, infantile esotropia was augmented by botulinum toxin. Findings affirmed that botulinum toxin augmented the surgical effect of bilateral medial rectus muscle recessions. It was determined that botulinum toxin-augmented surgery could be an alternative to the traditional options for large-angle, infantile esotropia.
